The cutting and caustic post rockers seek to build upon and return to the heights of the darkly brazen romp of 2003, 'Burn, Piano Island Burn' that caused people to prick their ears and their consciences too. Although, they have, by and large, failed to live up to that up until now, this snappy and, for The Blood Brothers, lighter prelude to forthcoming full length Young Machetes, hints at a welcomed return. Featuring an initially hollow vocal pitch of Jordan Blilie, this serves as a chilling build up to the aching screamo that The Blood Brothers purvey with pride and grittiness.
The striking aspect to this rip-out is the more clanging percussion drive, as the band moves away from the fatter drum beats that they have in the past and, other bands of this ilk use as their driving force. It is more than possible to see why the forthcoming album is being hailed as the first big hitter of the year from this sphere of the musical world.

Oh man, I just sent you a recommendation for their debut. One of the most intense albums you will ever hear. Either you will love it, or run away screaming. Either way I'll be happy!
