Maybe Unwritten Law lost a bit of credibilty doing the major label thing but who cares if they can put out catchy gems like this. I think the Ramones were able to do the catchy punk songs the best but they definitely set the stage. Don't get me wrong, Unwritten Law sounds nothing like the Ramones but most of the tracks leave an impression that lasts. Their catchy lyrics and sharp guitar riffs lead to a memorable outing. Check out "Cailin'" for one of the best of the lot. Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Blind Melon) lends his producing skills to come up with a crisp pop/punk album that should assure Unwritten Law are heard by the masses.
