wow really nice! Are you selling your music somewhere or interested in doing so?

Im working with a company that are developing solutions to help artists further their career. Our company is a global online music and video streaming platform from Sweden called Ubetoo.
The problem today is often that an artist doesnt make any money until they get signed by a record label. Once they are signed, though the record label will take up to 85% of the earnings.

If youre either in a state where you are waiting to get signed or if you want to keep your rights to your music instead of selling out to a record label get back to me and we can talk about finding a good solution.

Best Wishes,

City of Evil is so great! It reminds me of Maiden's seventh son of a seventh son album. It is very different from Waking the fallen. I like that album as well. But this album is just so well rounded and polished. There's nothing wrong with it. It's so great, I have it loaded on my ipod twice and can still listen to the album all the way through. That's right, I listen to bat country twice, Beast and the harlot twice, betrayed twice, and sometimes I'll listen to blinded in chains on repeat for hours at a time. I love the harmonizing in the left ear with the spoken lyrics at the same time in the right ear. The album is pure musical genious.
10/10 for this album.

I can never understand the hate that Avenged Sevenfold often gets. Yes, the members look rather goth almost to the point where you can't take them seriously, but after listening to this album Avenged Sevenfold have become one of my favorite bands. It's hard exactly to point out exactly what's so good about this band and album, but at least to me it's undeniable that these guys have got talent.

I shouldn't even like this band at all. I dislike "metalcore" bands and I dislike many of the bands that people say are similar to A7X, and yet, I love this band. A7X combine the sounds of Metallica and Iron Maiden and then throw them into a blender with some punk and a dash of goth. I can't find a bad song on this album. The guitar solos are very well done and bring to mind classic rock and metal. However, the vocals will be the deciding factor for some. After two metalcore screaming albums, lead singer M.Shadows decided to start singing in this album. Like Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose, Shadows has a distinct voice that isn't bad, but isn't that great either. But all in all it's a minor detraction from an otherwise amazing album.

Pros: Great guitar playing, long epic songs, good lyrics
Cons: Singer's voice cracks occasionally, may be too poppy for extreme metal fans

I give City of Evil 9.5/10, which rounds to a 10/10.

Oh god, this album was terrible and let me down so much. I wanted for this to sound like Waken the Fallen. But in the end, i was led to a major let down. All the songs are now modernized to be hits, well, you cannot blame a band for wanting to have hits, thats where the money is, but dont make the hits terrible. While the album is probably the worst Avenged Sevenfold release yet, there are good parts to it. And those good parts are amazing guitar solos. Thats the only thing saving this CD from getting a 3 or a two from me. If you loved Waken The Fallen, don't pick up this album, because you will be extremely disappointed.

It's hard to tell what genre/subgenres Avenged Sevenfold are aiming for on any given album. Equal parts metalcore, modern and classic thrash and a touch of goth aesthetic all fuse together on "City Of Evil". Despite the apparent influences, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to call this "Pop Metal", if such a contradiction of genres can exist. They channel depression-era (read: everything after the s/t album) Metallica and some of their weaker modern metal brethren and, ultimately, the effort falls flat. Seemingly devoid of direction and soul, "City Of Evil" is a metal album for non-metal fans, despite it's substandard, drawn-out, poser-esque trappings.
