Against All Authority is a band that has been best known for their hybrid mix of hardcore punk and ska and they have influenced many bands. But on the latest effort they seem to abandon all previous assumptions and settle for pure street punk. And I was very pleased to find that there is not one weak point on this album.
While most of the album consists of politically charged tracks, the band proves yet again that they are a force to be reckoned with. Songs like “All Ages Show” and “I Just Wanna Start A Circle Pit” are probably the best punk anthems the scene has had the pleasure of hearing in years.
The standout track on the album for me was “Silence Is Golden, But Duct Tape Is Silver”, a four-minute song that shows the dark side of the punk rock scene. Get out you studded jackets and your combat boots, because this is one album that is sure to inspire mosh pits for years to come.
