The 5th installment of Fearless Records' "Punk Goes" series proves to be nothing new. 15 track of bands that aren’t even close to being punk covering some of the worst songs of the 90's. Not to say that it is all bad, I did get quite a chuckle out of The Killing Moons cover of You Oughtta Know by Alanis Morissette. If you are a fan of compilations of talented bands doing horrible cover songs, than this release is right up your alley. If not, well then....At least you have a cool coaster.

Holy shit. I grabbed this for free just for the novelty of it, and even THEN it blew chunks. I wouldn't even use this as a coaster, as I fear the suckage contained within might contaminate my drink. Y'know when you hear about the military using certain albums as psychological weapons by blaring them on loudspeakers at their enemies? THIS is what they're using...

Strange enough, I was just listening to this one this morning on the way to work. The first two tracks are brutal. Mae doing "March Of The Pigs"? Come on people. You missed the boat entirely. Plain White Ts doing "Song 2"? Boring. Copeland - "Black Hole Sun", to straight up. Note to bands: If you are covering a song, add your $0.02 worth. Don't just rehash it because the band that wrote it did it much better than you just did. Gym Class Heroes on the other hand, did a somewhat decent job of adding their own to "Under The Bridge". That's as far as I got. I'll be back. So far, not so great.
