Taking Back Sunday is a five piece punk band that comes from Amityville, Long Island, NY. Yup, that would be the Amityville from the 1979 movie. Taking Back Sunday has been punmping out music since their formation in 1999 and the line-up was solidified in December 2000 when bassist Adam Lazzara moved into the vocalist position. Shaun Cooper took over bass duties. Other members include Ed Reyes (founding member of Movielife) along with John Nolan on guitar and Mark O’Connell banging on the skins. The melody that Taking Back Sunday is really second to none. They remind me of a couple other emo-punk bands but TBS easily erases those memories. The band is powerful and the songs are crafted with repeated listens in mind. The music ends up being very upbeat and strong-headed. Vocal melodies intertwine while the guitars do the same thing. Taking Back Sunday is indeed a great addition to Victory’s steadily improving roster of punk-hardcore bands.

Yes, as you can tell from my original review I was a big fan of Tell All Your Friends. I think that Taking Back Sunday hasn't reached their full potential. Everything since this album just seems to be lacking.

CLASSIC! Taking Back Sunday's first album Tell All Your Friends is not only one of the best albums as far as emo-punk bands goes but it is more simply put one of the best alternative album's period. With Adam Lazzara's amazing delivery the well crafted and extremely out spoken lyrics make for some amazing songs. The set of tracks on this album have some of the most memorable and quotable songs out there. "Cute Without the E" is one of the biggest "emo" anthems in recent memory. From "There is No I In Team" to "You're So Last Summer" this album is easily a must fan for any fan of a the genre. Taking Back Sunday made their first album one of the best frist albums ever.

One of the most influential albums of the "emo" genre of music. This is one of the best albums of all time, way better than anything that TBS could release and today still stands to be true. I dont believe i know anyone who has been disappointed by this album because it's simply flawless. Even five years after it's release, i still return to it and listen to the songs. Scary part is, that i know every word to the songs. THAT is how addicted you will become with this CD. You can listen to it two ways through, and not notice the CD had already started over. I recomend this album to everyone. I consider this album and instant classic, one that could be loved by anyone.
