An American Paradox shows Strung Out branching out even more than they already have done. They already incorporated much of the metal sound into their sound on previous albums so now they are reaching a little more into the pop territory. Don’t think that they have turned into a pansy Blink-182 or anything. Strung Out keeps their heaviness but makes it a bit more accessible with some killer singing. They are still one of the fastest punk bands on earth, remaining technical and aggressive proving themselves as one of the most unique punk bands in the SoCal area. While this reviewers favorite album is still Twisted By Design, An American Paradox runs a close second. To me, Jordan’s drum playing is really second to none in the punk world. Strung Out is among the top punk bands of the last ten years by far and this album is quality material. Please pay some respect to Strung Out and check out An American Paradox. I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
