Stretch Arm Strong is one of those underground punk / hardcore bands that have been going for quite some time now and are gaining a rampant following. In actual fact, they have been together since 93. With that in mind, they still have gotten little exposure outside of their fans. Why is this? I think it would probably lie solely on the label because this is a hard working band that is very talented. They don’t have an immediate appeal but after a couple listens Stretch Arm Strong becomes a catchy hardcore band. They scream, but there are melodic sections; guitars rage but the still maintain some very cool riffs. The bottom line is if Stretch Arm Strong can get a bit more coverage and get to more places on their tours, there is no doubt that they will become an important hardcore band. A Revolution Transmission just might be the album to break Stretch Arm Strong out of the underground.
