Moonshine obviously saw Ultra Records making money with their series Back To Mine where artists as varied as Groove Armada to Orbital take a look at what they listen to at home. A Night In With Boy George is the second in the Boy George series, the first being a full on DJ mix. This album is more along the lines of Back To Mine being more downtempo and easy going. This is an album that you might put on when you are feeling a little blue and lazy. He’s got good taste when it comes to music, surprisingly enough. He pulls out some tracks by Marden Hill and the talk of the press right now, Royksopp. Other groups he pulls from are Kid Galahad, Doc L Junior, El Hula, Bonobo, and Charlie Mills. One of the most surprising tracks on this Chillout Mix is Mychael Danna’s “Aaj Mera Jee Kardaa, a highly Eastern influenced track that really adds to the diversity of the album. While this album is not a necessity, it does add some breadth to what people perceive Boy George as.
