RecommendI’ve never really gotten over the whole Boy George as a DJ thing but I have given him a chance with his new Moonshine release, A Night Out With Boy George. I am very impressed at his selections. He has strayed away from big anthems that everyone plays and designed a mix that focuses a lot on vocals and great atmosphere. His focus is progressive house music except for the 7+ minute track, “Stolen Sun�, which borders on a hypnotic trance groove. The mix isn’t live but instead a well thought out studio mix that Boy George puts his heart and soul into. Briefly, some of the artist’s he uses on this mix include Jon Carter, Christian Smith & John Selway, Plump DJ’s, Baz, and 6AM. He has really proven himself as a world class DJ in the electronica world.
