Bi-Level - The Songbird
"Free yourself" is what Bi-Level tells in the first song off The Songbird, a very tight and well done EP. The vocals are impressing with a very powerful voice--very reminiscent of Over It's vocals. Maybe that's just me.
"Favorite Color" is my favorite song of the album. The song is just very exciting and makes you want to tap your toes. Again, the vocals impressed but even more so is the razorlike guitar that just makes the song sound like I'm listening to U2--which sometimes is a really good thing, depending on your mood. The drums are very simplistic but still good.
"Oh, Oh, Oh" doesn't really want to make me have an orgasm. However, the song does have "I'll Here This On The Radio" feel about it but the vocals are very weak through the song. The drums do save the song with the double snare in the background that actually seem to make the song louder.
All in all, this album is pretty exceptional. It's not one of those where you have no idea what's coming next but the predictability is not so much of a flaw in this album. It just heightens the anticipation.
