After the departure of Jim (who went on to form Zero Down) the future of Pulley could have gone either way. Luckily for us they have headed leaps and bounds to the better side and Together Again For The First Time is indeed the finest Pulley album to hit the shelves. Pay attention to this band because they have what it takes to gain fans and become one of the coolest punk bands going. If you are in the market for fast melodic punk then you need to step this way. It is obvious in Pulley’s case that being reduced to a quartet is a good thing and there is more freedom to kick ass. The band pays more attention to the clever hooks and riffs that they do so well. There really is no denying that the band has come around and rediscovered itself. Let’s just hope they bring their tour up to Calgary so we can enjoy this punk band live.
