You will have trouble finding a more energetic punk band from Denver, CO. Man Alive are a fairly new band on the circuit and they have already got a sound that people are starting to recognize. They have study punk bands like Rancid and injected even more anger and less melody to create their own sound. It’s got the ska beats and guitars but more often than not they leave those rhythms in the dust. Man Alive is a three-piece band comprised of Brooks (drums), Mike (guitar and vocals), and Charles (bass and vocals). While you would assume that a band this youthful may sound a little amateurish, they have quite a strong sound with gutteral lyrics where you think that these kids won’t be able to sing like this for long. The band is powerful and has a lot going for them. Watch for them on tour in your area.
