This testament of classic punk revivalism is proof that punk can never die. When bands like Madcap put out killer material like Stand Your Ground you can sit back and be rest assured that punk rock is in good hands. The band writes super catchy tracks that stick in your head like gum sticks to your shoe. Take for instance “Lazy Sunday, it leaves such a good feeling in your gut after listening that you feel like helping old ladies cross the street. Alfredo and Johnny trade off vocals so you don’t get sick of either of them. For a band only being together for a short time (I think this is only their second album) they have a great understanding of each other and what they are all about. They are super tight and have great sense of humor while injecting some “Fuck You attitude. As long as bands like Madcap are around, punk rock is here to stay. Also look for Madcap on Side One Dummy’s new video simply entitled Show.
