You may or may not have heard of Canadian Oliver Schroer but chances are that you have heard his playing on over 100 different diverse albums. Camino is his documentation of a trip he took, recorded during his 1000 km walk along the Camino de Santiago through France and Spain. He brought some friends to document the trip in photos, thus making the booklet a pleasant read as well. The songs, as is usual with Schroer albums, are instrumental, consisting primarily of the fiddle. The result is a fairly pleasant ambient violin/fiddle composition that really belongs more in the classical music genre than anything delivered on Music Emissions. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed Camino and would recommend it if you are looking for something to either drift away to or something for background music while you get down to work. Oliver is a fine musician and with albums like Camino under his belt I can see him being asked to play on another 100 albums.
