The Delays are another one of those bands I adored when I was exposed to their debut album, Faded Seaside Glamour and I thought that they would easily gain a foothold in the North American market. It is not really the time for sugary pop though. I always think that I would much rather hear something like the amazing single "Valentine" on the radio as opposed to 3/4 of the stuff that gets airplay right now. Anyone I play The Delays for end up loving it. It's Greg Gilberts amazing falsetto that really grabs you. No one believes me when I tell people that it's a male singer. I think the best comparison for The Delays would be a poppier Fleetwood Mac or a little happier Cocteau Twins. This should paint a pretty good picture of where this Southampton group fits in. You See Colours is every bit as fun and catchier as its predecessor.
