Grade - The Embarrassing Beginning
Is this the same Grade that put out the glorious Under The Radar in 1999? Oh, wait a sec. That was just one song but holy shit, these guys are able to do the bottom end heavy stuff too. Be sure and check out track 3, "Impulse" and hold on to your hat. It's one bloody heavy track. For those of you who are unaware, this is songs compiled from the out of print "Grade/Believe" split CD back in 1994 as well as previously unreleased material from Grade's original demo with other sources as well. It makes for an interesting listen showing a punk bands roots. They started out to be massively heavy and somewhere along the way the band found a bit of a mellower side. The album also includes some rare (not anymore) acoustic versions of "Triumph and Tragedy" and "Seamless". Strange enough they actually work. Not essential but worth it for fans.
