Monsters are real in New Jersey. “Jesus and “Tori” and Civeta Dei” are overwhelming in composition and rage; “If these bullets Could Talk” and “Blue Dress” hint at what they might explore lyrically with maturity. Like Big Bear or hearing Sleep for the first time, this record puts you in the presence of a band on the road to shredding an existing genre and putting their own boot-heels onto it.
