Man, you've shown me up on an album I've been afraid to mutter about since I first heard it four years ago. Wow...on several things. The minimal references of the album you used were signature and characteristic to a tee! But this?

"None of these become repetitive, which is really impresive given how simple they are musicaly. "

I couldn't have said it better... Keep digging on this guy... Dig next for God Loves Ugly...Then you're ready for Overcast, and possibly underground stuff. Definitely check out Sad Clown Bad DUB DVD...after Lucy Ford, Somewhat during God Loves ugly...As the back warns you... good luck watching it in its entirety!!!

One of the best reviews, typo's and all on this site all year long.

Haunting and catchy stripped down bare essentials of music, with powerful extensive lyrics. Spoken lyrics to add punch to the content rather than the form, and to complete that minimalist aesthetic. That's what WAS exciting about rap, but there is hope in this album. The characters walking through this album are intense, there are strange desires coursing through these people. Inexplicable pain and pleasure drive them, and the under way to understand is through their actions, so poeticaly described here. Best of all are the autobiographical accounts "Like today" and "nothin but sunshine" aare good examples. Whether fact or fiction (I don't know), they are totally uncollored by ego. To hear the stereotypical boasting of stealing all the cash you can replaced by tales of taking just enough vegetables from a garden to survive is astonishing, and compelling. The laughs and shit talking haven't been left out either, "Guns and Cigarettes" fills that role beautifully. "Party 4 the fight 2 write" gives a bit more serious message to fellow musicians, but the overall message is acceptance, and enjoyment. Enjoyment is a good word to sum this album up, these guys genuinely seem to be able to accept and enjoy all the bizarre, funky happenings illustrated throughout. If nothing else the sheer lyrical volume is impressive. None of these become repetitive, which is really impresive given how simple they are musicaly.
