RecommendSafety Scissors is the project of one Matthew Patterson Curry from San Francisco. Matthew takes pride in creating quirky electronic pop, not too polished, but still fun. Tainted Lunch is the second album from Safety Scissors, a long overdue return for Curry. The album starts out fairly strong with the electro-pop "I Am The Cheese". It's blippy but very listenable. "Sunlight's On The Other Side" turns into a slightly more pop territory. Some of the songs such as "Amnesia, I Need You To Remind Me" get very repetitive but somehow Matthew manages to make it not totally annoying. "Fly In My Soup" is another one that is so quirky that it is cute. Then there are some songs that are just plain fun like "After Disaster". This album is far from essential but if you do like the electro-pop thing then you need to check out Tainted Lunch.
