Dry Kill Logic is a metal band that brings their heaviness to us from the New York state. Dead And Dreaming is the bands sophomore album and it is a hugely sonic affair. This band take on the dual vocal idea but manage to keep it much heavier than the likes of Thursday or other similar bands. Instead of trying to crossover into the punk realm they keep both feet in the metal/hardcore world. The Dead And Dreaming starts off with a bludgeoning blast called "Lost" setting the pace. I hear a huge nod to the likes of early Biohazard and Fear Factory in their music. They keep up the solid assault for pretty much the rest of the album. It's really too bad they hard to tarnish the heaviness with a ballad at the end of the album. There is no reason for "No Reason". It just dilutes the heaviness of the rest of the album. The Dead And Dreaming is not a unique album but if you are having a hard time finding something heavy to listen to give Dry Kill Logic a chance. You might find something in here that you can get into.
