Could there be an even more appropriate title for this Everclear album? Art, you need to get out more. Forget about the women for a while because you are sounding like a fucking whiner. Try and limit your relationship drama to 1 or 2 songs per album. My mind started to go numb after the first half of the album. It's really too bad because I think Everclear (well, Art anyway) have come up with some of their best music (sans lyrics) in years. Really, the song arrangements are great and the new band sounds awesome. It is just too bad that EVERY single song is about relationship woes. Go on a roadtrip and get inspired by landscapes, heritage, other people besides girlfriends/wives. "Hater" is a great song. It should have been the only relationship song on the album. Still, is anyone going to care? It seems as though Everclear has run out of ideas and are stuck. Gone is the aggressiveness of the classic Sparkle And Fade (an album that everyone needs in their car). Get a little more anger in your music. Stop with the pansy depressing shit and you might have a hit again, if you can get people's attention.
