Fuzzy, deranged psych-trash from Wisconsin that leaves you begging for more. That frozen land of cheese and Packers has also given us some frightening madness as well; thank you Eddie Gein. The Voco Kesh have absorbed more than local eccentricity, at times reaching the depths of King Crimson or early Floyd. The seven instrumental songs here rock, rub, skitter and shine. And they do it with humor too. "12 Monkeys," and "New Cropcircle Boogie" especially work. The band isn't afraid to improvise either, and often--especially on "Vibe#6"--hit some deep wells of sound that show the band's range. At times they sound like a late 60's fuzzbox outfit like the Electric Prunes; at other times they can scare you lo-fi, like an updated Ash Rah Temple.
