I do have to admit that I haven't been the biggest fan/follower of Kraftwerk but I have checked out some of their classic albums like Autobahn and Trans-Europe Express. Regardless, this German group has had as much influence on modern music as The Beatles. Seriously. There would probably be very little in the way of a techno or even club scene if it wasn't for the digital mastery of Kraftwerk. Minimum-Maximum is a double album testament to their live show. These men have been making music for 35+ years and show no sign of slowing down. This album was recorded on the bands 2004 tour throughout all of Europe. One track, "Numbers" was actually recorded in San Francisco. "Dentaku" was recorded in Tokyo but the rest from various shows in Europe. I would suggest Minimum-Maximum to the uninitiated. This is a really great live set (even though it's from many different locations) and it showcases a revolutionary band that still sounds cutting edge even after this long into their career. The sound quality would rival a studio album easily. There are only the odd audible crowd cheers and the rest of it is crystal clear. Even though I was a little standoffish about this album I have embraced it and I really enjoyed it.
