RecommendHipsters think of noise or drone these days when they think of Montreal. But techno-funk? Think About Life will change the vibe from dubious to joyous in a heartbeat. Ass-rumbling beats and life-affirming lyrics (it all is just a party, right?) would rock any house, and they are true threat to the posers: do I say fuck it and dance, or stand there and try to look jaded? If you don't dig this, there is no sense in waiting around for someone to discover how cool you are: you have nothing cool in the tank to begin with. "Serious Chords" and " The Future Might Be" give life where there might not be any; "Blue Sun" ought to be played every time you feel like watching TV; there is BIG life still ought there to celebrate.
