We Are The Fury is a new band from Toledo, Ohio that is attempting to blend punk and glam. What's that you say? It's been done before? Oh, of course but what music amalgamation hasn't been tried. We Are The Fury try to take things over the top and in the end have a result that is better than one might expect. Infinite Jest is a quick 5 song EP to get people interested in the band. The band starts out with the fun "Better Off This Way", a song that bounces along like something that might come out of England this year. "Anesthetic Parade" is slightly darker but still has a foot firmly planted in the glam side of things with the other performing the punk side quite nicely. You might hear a similarity between this song and a Canadian band called Hot Hot Heat. I found the vocals to be We Are The Fury's strongest point. Jeremy Lublin has great dynamics that are well suited to their music. The band shouldn't be dismissed either because the music on all five tracks are quite different. I am going to keep an eye on this group. I think we will see some great things from We Are the Fury.
