RecommendMan Man is a freak show. Not a Marilyn Manson freakshow but one that Tom Waits might be the ring leader. If you don't like anything left of mainstream then you need to stop reading this review right now. Six Demon Bag is Man Man's second album features the vocals of the very creative Honus Honus (I swear, that's what they call him). To call Man Man eclectic would be way too easy. No, Man Man is much more than eclectic. They seem to have a thing with mustaches. If these guys were to come out with a straight forward album, one without all the circus feel and crazy instruments we wouldn't be talking about them. It's the combination of the vocals and crazy, inventive instrumentation that makes Man Man what it is. My favorite track on Six Demon Bag is "Engrish Bwudd". It has the jolting tempo and a great singalong chorus. Man Man isn't for the average person. I think you have to be slightly demented in order to enjoy this music. On second thought, a little more than slightly.

Hahah. This could be true. I think Man Man is one degree loonier than Animal Collective, but I'm very much enjoying the songs I've heard off this album.
