Heaven's Pregnant Teens is San Diego, CA's Some Girls first album for Epitaph records and I predict that it will turn Epitaph back into a hardcore haven. It is the groups second full-length as well. Some Girls play some of the hardest and most furious hardcore I have heard in many years. There are 13 tracks on Heaven's Pregnant Teens and yet the album is over in in just over 20 minutes. I think they should have thrown at least another 10 minutes on this "full length" album in order to give their fans a little more value for their money. They are probably every bit as intense as the Blood Brothers, one of my more recent faves. The difference with Some Girls is that quite a few of the lyrics are actually decipherable. And they actually slow down on the PiL cover called "Religion II". It's still heavy only the tempo has been slowed down. Some Girls intent to "brutalize people and have each song punch people in the face..." is followed through. Teens is definitely not for the weak. I would think that Some Girls would be a desirable live band to see. Oh yeah, an interesting video for "Warm Milk" is included.
