If you have all of the EPs that Jens Lekman has released over the past year then this album would be a nice way to make some extra room on your CD rack. Oh You're So Silent Jens collects the best music from all of the EPs he's released in one convenient collection. There are also a couple tracks from his debut, When I Said I Wanted To Be Your Dog. Also is a tracks from some Swedish only EPs. And if you haven't heard Lekman's music for the most part Jens music is quite subdued and romantic but there are times when he picks things up a bit and borders on the Pop side of things ("Black Cab"). Times like this he sounds like Ron Sexsmith. He also has a huge similarity to that of Stephen Merritt of Magnetic Fields fame. But he has his Swedish accent to keep him sounding different. You have to hear my favorite: "Farewell to Rocky Dennis". This album should be in every fan of pop singer/songwriter's collection. Lekman is lonely and loves to sing about it.
