Singer/accordionist Kennedy Greenrod has assembled a band with balls, that has consistently over three releases produced a heady mix of myth, pathos, and drunken wisdom. "Til The Good Lord Shows His Face," "Lazarose," and "Take Me Home" are only the tip of the iceberg for The Thin Man. Blending traditional folk rhythms with jaded punk attitude, the band can't seem to help but sound classic. H.M.S. Mondegreen is an epic adventure by a band that is already in my top two of the best around. They're moving up fast. I'll even be hyperbolic and say that there has been no better record in the last two years than this Mondegreen.
