"Fripp for Girls" displays Sleeping People's chops and ambitions nicely. This is Prog-rock with a bite that is certainly not close to the comparisons to Yes on their promo flyer. It also mentions King Crimson, which is closer to the nut. Big sweeping rhythms and muscular changes challenge the listener, yet rock them as well. "Untitled" and "Nachos" build to a flourish. Sleeping People have a lot of ideas, but they never overwhelm the music. Aggressive drone that is never self-indulgent or pretentious, is a trait all too often absent from bands that attempt this music. You can feel a long career in the works.
