RecommendDon't mistake Our Mercury for Hey Mercury. They are two completely different bands with only Mercury in common. Our Mercury is a band from Edmonton Alberta who has been rocking together for a number of years even though the members are all in their early 20s. This band may end up in the emo bins but that would be a little premature. These guys have a great knack for good harmonies while still keeping their music aggressive. They implement some tips from the Clash and Hot Water Music in order to come up with a fairly original style. I would put it in the punk bins. These guys play a fairly mature brand of punk for their age. It's not mall-punk by any means. No, this is a band that you need to pay attention to. I found the entire album very listenable and enjoyable. I will keep an eye on this young band. Again, the Mercury belongs to us: Our Mercury.
