RecommendCeltic Punk is a vast underground that proves that punk always was a form of angry, street folk music. Shite & Onions is a great compilation suffering, if anything, from an embarrassment of riches. It is loaded with many famous names: The Mahones, Neck, Blood or Whiskey, Tossers. But lesser knowns hold their own as well. The Skels, Devil's Advocates, Spunk Lads, The Steam Pig. Both the Old Sod and great Irish cities like Boston and Chicago are represented, with the kind of rocking, danceable drinking and loyalty to friends songs that the Irish are known for. There are even a few weepers in here as well.
