The Fun of Watching Fireworks should have set the post-rock world on its ass but for some reason only the dedicated would ever listen to The American Analog Set. This album is, of course, their debut album and a beautiful one at that. It is the sort of album that you can put on at pretty much any moment and enjoy. It is mellow and yet it is still rock and roll. Fireworks is one of those albums that seeps into your head without you actually knowing. You start humming some of the simple melodies from tracks like "On My Way" and can't recall where you heard the song. That's the sort of experience you can get from AmAnSet.
Who would have known that American Analog Set would pump out another 5 equally beautiful albums, all worth checking out. By the way, they are NOT breaking up. They just stated that they wouldn't be doing any more full-scale tours.
