Latterman - Turn Up The Punk, We'll Be Singing
Latterman is a New York based punk band that managed to get the attention of Deep Elm records with this here album. It was self-released and many punk fans started seeking it out. Deep Elm stepped in and offered the band a deal and released an album called No Matter Where We Go. This release proved to be successful for the dedicated indie so they decided to rerelease their debut. That's where this album comes into play. Originally released in 2002 it stands up fairly well today in the punk arena. The band is tight and manages to get the listener pumped with all their songs. They have a bit of a political/social stance but message with meaning is what punk is mostly about. Turn Up the Punk is a strong album and one that does deserve to be heard. Latterman is a fine punk band that would be great to see in a live venue.
