I wonder if even Ninja Tune founders, Matt Black and Jon More (Coldcut) ever realized how influential their label would become. Well here they are, Ten years later and they have something that they just can't stop. It's turned into a monster! If you have heard anything from Ninja Tunes (Herbaliser, Roots Manuva, Funki Porcini, DJ Vadim, Amon Tobin...) you will have most likely already purchased this 3 disc set. It is nicely packaged and credit has to go to Ninja Tune for the set up of the discs. There is one disc that has vocals, primarily their more recent cutting edge hip hop but also some other stuff you would expect. Second disc is all instrumental tracks, what we have grown to know and love. And then for the finale, there is a disc of rarities with tracks from Saul Williams, Funki Porcini, Hexstatic, East Flatbush Project and so much more. In the vein of their other fantastic compilations Xen Cuts takes the cake with it's amazing triple disc outlay. Get this, you won't be disapointed.
