Justus League main man, Cesar Comanche checks in with yet another reason why the South just may save Hip-Hop. With the help of guests Median, Edgar Allen Floe, and with seamless, soulful production by 9th Wonder, Comanche creates grooves of love and tribute with heart. The title, Squirrel and the Aces, comes from a band his parents had in the early 70's; a sense of remembering roots while extending them out into the community is a theme explored in "The Life", "Survival of The Fittest." "Wrong One and the instant classic, "Miss You" show a sensitivity that few in the genre would dare expose. Like fellow Leaguer Little Brother, Cesar Comanche packs his mixes with caring, humor and an eye not only on the streets, but inside the people on them. I expect his fame to continue to grow, and I expect him to use it in surprising ways.
