Generation is the new album from UK brutes Audio Bullys. I checked into the much hyped Ego War but couldn't get into it. Generations is a different case though. I found a Stereo MCs for the new generation contained within. Generation is a far better album than Ego War. The latter had a few good singles but as an album it just sucked. The new album, on the other hand, is more about finding a groove and flowing with it. Lyrics come second to beats and samples and man are the beats big. That's not to say that a few of the tracks on here are full of great lyrics. The album kicks off with the help of the vocals of Nancy Sinatra on "Shot You Down". Apparently this track has already been on the charts overseas. I found it was the groove tracks like "Eq-ing" to be some of the highlights of this strong album. One of the slightly slower tracks also stands out ("Get Myself On Track"). The guys even take a track at a Latin tinged style on "The album ends up being someone between Prodigy, Streets, and Stereo MCs. This is a great album full of heavy hitting party beats that will get your shindig underway.
