RecommendTarentel continue to explore sonic territory few bands even consider worth it. These two EP's dig into obscure guitar sounds that are both sublime and driving; imagine loving your girlfriend's prom dress more than her and finding out more positive things about yourself than negative and you have the feel here: unspoken, visceral beauty that may or may not be real, but damn, what a revelation! "Open Letter To Hummingbirds" and the 40 minute-plus "Big Black Square" tweak primal urges at the same time they offer hope of emotions completely new. The band has been around eight years, and they still sound like they just popped out of the womb.
