RecommendThis is one of those compilations that you really don’t know where it’s going to go because you are completely unfamiliar with any of the artists. On Superstitious Trip 2002 you get a smattering of 10 tracks from Germany’s Superstition label and let me be the first to tell you that this music is hot. It is mostly an after-hours style minimalistic techno and very groovy. Not only is this music great groovy electronica but it is very hypnotic as well. Listen to “Multiplicity� by So Bizarre and you will see what I mean. I found that Superstitious Trip 2002 to be a little more original than a lot of techno that has been coming out in North America in the last little while. It could be because I am not exposed to that much European techno but I like what I hear. Some of the artists included on this Beat Buzz comp are Endless, Yeah Mon, Sirius, Risin’, and The Fortunate Ones. There really isn’t a bad track on here. Put it on and move your butt.
