RecommendRelapse once again arrives with a record that will peel the skin off your face, while at the same time giving your now distended mouth something of substance to chew on. This comp, featuring bruisers like High on Fire, Mastadon, Solient Green and Cretin, is as political as it is headbanging. The cover itself features the beloved President Bush all Rambo-ed up and checking in on the walkie-talking with Mr. Death. Or Donald Rumsfeld. The Dillinger Escape Plans' "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" and "Introduction + Time As Ideology" by Buried Inside hint at the dead, and dead-on, seriousness of this record. This is Volume 7 folks, so we all have a lot of catching up to do. Unfortunately, this is the soundtrack of our lives right now.
