Nu-Metal for those who think it all began with Staind. While Metal certainly needed a kick in the ass after the dreadful Hair-band years, the first Guns & Roses record ought to have been enough of a reminder of where to go to regroup. Hell, even Tad or Blood Circus would have worked for models! That metal has sunk back into a sub-sub culture now is mostly due to bands that merely made the rockers more plodding and the ballads more morose. Good move! Now metal is slightly outselling Space Age Bachelor Pad music, and anyone who goes to see one of the popular metal bands like Tool or Staind is only going hoping to score some weed from kids who think that's still cool too.
Highroad No. 28 distinguishes itself mainly by being a Name-and-Number band that adds a "No." in between. Australia knows better than to allow this cliched over-amped pub rock to leave its borders.
