Wrong - Won't Admit We're Wrong
If, instead of Elvis and Jerry Lee, the initial entry in the history of Rock was the soundtrack to Eraserhead, then Wrong is your Beatles. Call this compilation, if you know the movie and its Industrial nightmare ambience, 50, 000,000 Girls In The Radiator Can't Be Wrong, in which the ensemble take existing themes in Noise (if there can be such a thing a benchmarks in Noise) and expand them into something at once immense and sublime.
A collection of performances by the Minneapolis improv group spanning time from 1998-2004, and featuring members of Cock ESP, Wrong pastes together compositions ranging from blistering yet hypnotically melodic noise to dark ambient, to just plain hair-raising. Those who see meditative, even prayerful uses to Noise will love Wrong. They expand a genre that ought to have been stillborn, yet continues to evolve.
