In Los Angeles there is a club called Afterhour Power which is the place to be when all the other clubs shut down. As if that wasn’t good enough, they started up a radio station called Afterhour Radio at 106.3FM that played this type of music to keep ravers hot and ready. Now Moonshine is trying to package up this energy into a package to sell to the people that have never been in or, more ideally, as a memoir of the great times they had at the club. Afterhour Power Vol. 1 is exactly what you would expect, over an hours worth of pounding club anthems that really get the blood flowing. Steve Castro and Christian Dwiggins are the people responsible for this mix. It’s a fine mix too with a bunch of obscure tracks that keep the tempo up to maximum. To top things off, with the purchase of this disc you will get an admittance ticket to the club which is a $35-50 added bonus if your ever in the Los Angeles area.
