Fat Mike and his Fat Wreck Chords label are fighting the punk fight and are on their second volume on their Rock Against Bush series. They might have time to fit one more in before the tell-tale election. The main purpose behind these compilations is to raise money for punkvoter.com, a website and organization that tries to encourage the younger voters to get out and voice their democratic right. Even though this effort is to oust Bush from his high chair, the ultimate goal is to get younger people out to vote. There is a whopping 28 songs on Rock Against Bush Vol 2, from every corner of the punk world. The album starts out with a previously unreleased Green Day song called "Favorite Son" and slips and slides its way through to No Use For A Name's "Fields of Agony (Acoustic)", another unreleased gem. In fact, we get about 20 rare/unreleased tracks from punks finest. Bad Religion breaks down and donates their appropriate song "Let Them Eat War". Hell, we even get a brief taste of the Foo Fighters with "Gas Chamber", one of their most punk songs ever. There is also an informative CD with information about Bush's administration and the havoc they have brought on the nation. Included are videos from bands like Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, NOFX and Thought Riot. This is a great compilation for a great cause. Get out and Vote!
