Another Hip Hop label is about to drop. Halftooth Records is the name of this new East Coast label and You Don't Know The Half is the label's introduction to the masses. It is quite an introduction and Halftooth may prove to be a force in the hip hop world. One of the main players on the label is an artist called Oddisee. We get a few contributions from him as well as another artist called Kenn Starr. J-Live makes an appearance with "Who Do You Call". Talib Kweli drops a few rhymes on the simply title "If" alongside Kenn Starr. Another artist called Wordsworth hits us with one of the highlights of the comp, a track called "Here We Go Again". These MCs all are talented and there isn't really a weak track on the album. You Don't Know The Half is a strong compilation, promising a lot from the Halftooth Record label. Underground hip hop fans need to lend their ear this way for something up-and-coming. Should be interesting.
