What do you do when your punk band is about to make it big? Become a professional wrestler of course! That's basically what Happy Kreter did a few years back when Gob was about to hit the bigtime. Now he's back from giving pile-drivers and body-slams to give us a musical update of where he's at. Don't expect a Rock 'em Sock 'em kind of album. No, he's really mellowed with all that wrestling. Paradigm is a light singer/songwriter affair that comes across more like an emo album. At some points you almost feel sick with the amount of emotion he is pouring into this music but you have to give Kreter credit for the arrangements, they are actually pleasant and well thought out. This music is definitely not for everyone. If you are into music like Dashboard Confessional or A New Found Glory, you might like Happy Kreter. I think this is something that you will find that you have to be in the mood for. The music arrangements are well thought out but it's a little on the depressing side when it comes to overall ambience.
