I've always said that out of all the cheap punk samplers, Punkorama is the best one going. Almost reaching double digits, Epitaph launches into one of their finest and most robust compilation yet. While you may not notice it on the charts, Epitaph has been having some killer releases in the form of Motion City Soundtrack, Pulley, Tiger Army, Division of Laura Lee and the killer new project Error. I haven't really touched the surface. They are having some great luck with some of their hip hop acts like Atmosphere and Eyedea and Abilities. What about the old cats like Bad Religion, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Pennywise, and The Bouncing Souls? They are hotter than ever right now as proven with the tracks contributed to this compilation. Even with that, we are also graced with one of Epitaph's most clever signings ever, The Weakerthans. We are treated to the amazing "Plea From A Cat Named Virtue". 1208 is another nice addition to the roster and their "Fall Apart" is here. This time Epitaph has also included a DVD with videos from The Bouncing Souls, Atmosphere, The Weakerthans, Converge, Randy and a few more. It's always great to get these videos a little more exposure because they don't get played on TV as much as they should. Epitaph remains one of the strongest punk labels and while they are branching out cautiously they are breaking new ground with forward thinkers.
