RecommendIt's been a couple years since I have checked in with Czech Republic's post-rock outfit Waawe. Their latest CD is called All Fabulous Things Turn Out To Happen and while it may not be as immediately like-able as 2000's Timestorm Was The Signal, it is still a worthy listen. They seem to have migrated to a little more along the lines of American Analog Set than the jazzier leanings of their other album. The production seems to have gone downhill as well. It might be something they were shooting for because in places it seems to work OK. The guys are involved with plenty of different projects but they seem to centralize with Waawe. If you tracked down their first album, you will already have found All Fabulous Things but if you are new to the band, start with Timestorm and work up to this album. This one is a bit of a harder listen.
