When the guitarist of the Czech Republic based band Hodouskova Vina left, the rhythm section decided to stay together and hired yet another bass player. They renamed themselves Deverova Chyba (Devera's Mistake) and as you can guess, have a uber-heavy bottom-end along the lines of Slint or Shellac. They have been touring and playing festivals all over Europe to an open-armed audience. Do Stran is a great album with some uniqueness to it. Sure, they do have some similarities to a few American bands but this sort of thing is quite unique in Europe. Their sound ends up being a combination of math-rock and some pretty groovy funk. I guess that's what happens when you throw two bass players together. The album is short but sweet. I think anything much longer might wear on you with it's muddiness. The song titles are in English but the songs are all sung in Czech (I think). My favorite is the less spastic "Like You". You really get to hear the threesome's killer musicianship here. If you are a fan of the bottom heavy stuff, head over to Free Dimension's website and see if you can get a copy sent over.
